Lounge & Dining Room
The lounge is a common area for get together’s and sharing meals.
Getting Together in the Lounge
We use the lounge to put on parties for the tenants on special occasions like Halloween and Christmas. The tenants are welcome to book the lounge for their special events. It has been used for showers, birthday parties and more.
Leisure & Recreation Area
If you enjoy shuffleboard, puzzles or getting a little exercise on a stationery bike, the Leisure and Recreation Area is the place to be.
The multi-purpose room is a place where you can kick back and relax or join in on a number of activities such as:
- Playing Cards
- Attending Larger Parties or Dinners
- Playing an Assortment of Games
- Exercise Class (Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM)
We like to have fun at Willow Centre. For almost every occasion we plan a party as an opportunity to socialize and laugh. Parties are held in the Lounge, Multi-Purpose Room or in the Courtyard depending on the time of year and size of the festivities. Come join us!
In this picture, we’re having a great time celebrating Halloween. Don’t worry, no one got hurt!
We love our courtyard!! What a great place to enjoy a beautiful summer day. The tenants enjoy getting together to barbecue, sit in the gazebo and play cards and just relax and watch the fish play in the pond. Fresh vegetables are also plentiful when the season is right and can be picked right out of our community garden.
On-site Laundry Facilities
Our on-site laundry facilities have four washer and four dryers. It is free to use and open anytime.
Safety is a priority at Willow Centre. We have a door entry system and fire drills twice yearly to ensure all tenants are prepared in case of emergency.
We’re just a short walk away from Sobey’s, Safeway, Esso Gas Station, Shoppers Drug Mart, Liquor Store, Hairdresser, Insurance, Dollar Store, Video Store, Toronto Dominion Bank and more.
Tennant Resource Coordinator
The Tenant Resource Coordinator is funded through a grant from WRHA. The purpose of the coordinator is to help tenants with a variety of needs. If you are not sure who to call or how to go about getting something done the coordinator is onsite at Willow Centre every Wednesday to assist you. She also organizes activities and works with the volunteers for the Congregate Meal Program. She’s a great ‘go-to’ person who’s there to help!
Nor’West Community Health Centre
Norwest Food Centre offers many free programs centered around food and nutrition. They have seniors coffee mornings as well as providing lunches free or by donation Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. As well as a Thursday Supper.. It’s a great place to meet new people and to learn some new skills!
